Car Insurance Dodge (Car Insurance). AC problem on 1995 Honda Civic?AC problem on 1995 Honda Civic? The problem is, when the ac is turned on it makes a loud squealing noise. The ac compressor was changed out not too long ago. Does the ac compressor have its own separate drive belt? Could it just be loose? The car belongs to my daughter and she lives about 150 miles away from me, and I and looking for any suggestions and advise before I drive down to take a look at it. Also if it is a locked up compressor, what do you think about a compressor kit from parts store(compressor, air dryer, oil, ect). Do places like AutoZone loan out vacuum pumps too? Will be greaful for any tips. Thanks. Just look at it. If the new compressor is seized, the pulley won't move when you turn it on. It could just be a loose belt. magnetic clutch which is use to operate compressor taking power from the crank shaft may be loose . As the magnetic clutch looses its magnetism, the power from the crank shaft may not be transferred to compressor and belt drive acts as free wheel unit . Dodge . I have a 97 dodge grand caravan 3.8 with a random misfire? I have a 97 dodge grand caravan 3.8 with a random misfire? The thing is, it ran fine until it began to have fuel pump issues. The car would start, but then it would die as soon as it ran the fuel out of the pump. We first replaced the fuel filter since that is the cheapest route, that fixed the problem short term, but it started again. After a while it started again and we replaced the fuel pump and so again as you should do to maintain the warranty on the new fuel pump we replaced the fuel filter again. After doing this the car began to misfire horribly. When you hook it up to a hand held computer it reads random misfire. On a regular pull without too much torque you dont even notice the miss if you dont give it too much gas, but on a hill or with too much torque it misses and pops like there is firecrackers going off under the hood. We were thinking it needed plugs and plug wires but then I realized none of this happened until the fuel pump problems making me think this could be an issue related to this that could just be a smaller problem related to a vaccum or a computer issue. I dont think it a coil pack and I dont think the plugs and wires would just go bad coincidently with the fuel pump issues, or maybe it was never the fuel pump at all which means we sunk nearly 500 bucks into the van for no reason at all. Anyone have any ideas? We are preparing to sell it, but I dont want to take a huge loss on it, since it is in really good condition other wise and the van kbb value in good condition is around $4000 and in its current running condition no one is going to want to pay more than a grand for it. Also, when we went to pick it up from the mechanic to take it home last night, it did the same thing it had done before we replaced the fuel pump, it would start, run the gas out of the pump and die. It took several attempts of taking the key forward to prime the pump and finally trying to pop it into gear and learch it forward before it finally caught and started running before I was able to get it home. Making me also think that the fuel pump was never the issue in the first place. car insurance. Auto parts : Driving Light Lens Gasket Scion 1999. Driving Shoes Smart 2000. Driving Suit Sterling 2001. Dodge . Can Car Engine Oil Be Used in Diesel Engines? In terms of internal conditions, diesel engines operate in an entirely different performance envelope than most gas engines. The extra abuse they place on components, combined with the chemical makeup of the fuel itself, makes using the right oil crucial for engine performance and longevity. Diesel Engine Conditions Diesels don't ignite their air-fuel mixture with a spark, they just squeeze the mixture until it explodes with heat and pressure. This not only places a great deal of stress on internal components, it tends to atomize impurities (like sulfur) in the diesel fuel and transfer them to the oil. Diesel Oil Additives Many diesel-specific engine oils contain lubricants like ZDDP (Zinc dialkyldithiophosphate), to help keep things slick to help cope with the engine's additional stresses, and detergents that keep contaminants like soot suspended in the oil. Left to its own devices, these contaminants would embed inside the engine and build up to restrict oil flow and reduce lubricity. Usage Any lubrication is better than none, so you can use regular car oil in a diesel for short periods of time if you're left with no other option. The only other time you might consider running regular oil in a diesel is if you're flushing the engine, in which case you'll wind up draining it after 500 miles anyway.
Dodge . How to Change the Motor Oil on a 2002 Diesel Volkswagen BeetleIf you crawl under your 2002 diesel Volkswagen Beetle to change the motor oil, you will quickly realize that the vehicle is not equipped with a drainage plug in the bottom of the oil pan. In fact, the vehicle is not equipped with an oil pan at all. The normal process for changing the oil will not work. To change the oil, extraction is necessary since drainage is not an option. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Ratchet 10mm socket Oil extractor Oil filter wrench Pliers Funnel Four quarts of 5W40 Step by Step : 1 Park the Beetle on level ground and warm the engine to normal operating temperatures. (10 minutes idling time is sufficient.) Pull the parking break to secure the vehicle while you work on it. 2 Remove the plastic engine cover by removing the three 10mm bolts that secure it to the top of the engine. 3 Remove the oil dipstick from the dipstick tube located in the front, center of the engine. Push the suction tube of an oil extractor into the dipstick tube. 4 Suck the oil out of the engine with the oil extractor. Use a manual hand pump extractor. It takes a little longer to remove the oil, but it prevents excessive pressure buildup that electric pumps cause. 5 Locate the oil filter cover directly to the right of the oil dipstick. Remove the cover with an oil filter wrench. Pull the oil filter cartridge out of the engine. 6 Pull the two O-rings out of the filter cover with a pair of pliers or a pick. Push two new O-rings into place with your fingers. 7 Suck the oil out of the oil filter canister with the oil extractor. 8 Place a funnel into the oil filter canister with the tip of the funnel placed into the drainage tube. 9 Drain 4 quarts of 5W40 synthetic oil into the funnel. Step by Step : 10 Place the new oil filter cartridge into the oil filter canister and secure the canister cap. Some (but not many) of the more enlightened owner's manuals tell you. u* Look in the service manual. The service manual for your vehicle's make, model, and year tells you the location and nature of each lubrication point (or grease fitting or ball joint or whatever they're called in your book). You can find one at your local library or buy one at an auto parts store or at your local dealership. Dodge . Is there anything you can do at home to get rid of a cyst?
Go towww.wikipedia.com/cysts for home remedy solutions to remove a cyst. Good luck! Dodge Durango. * It's a good idea to own a copy of the service manual for your vehicle, even if you just lend it to the independent shops that work on your car. There's no way that they can keep a copy of every service manual, and access to specific instructions for servicing and repairing your particular vehicle can significantly cut the time — and therefore the cost — involved in doing a job. <«" Look in the lubrication manual. Every service station has a lubrication manual that's published by one of the major oil companies each year. These manuals show every lube point and grease fitting for every vehicle manufactured during the year of publication. Your service station probably has the last couple of years' manuals on hand. If you don't have a service manual, ask to see the lube manual if you're having trouble locating the lube points on your vehicle. e* Ask a professional. If you really have trouble finding your ball joints and you're unwilling to throw yourself at the mercy of a service station just for a look at the lube manual, give in and take the car in for a lube job someplace where they'll let you hang around and ask questions. Casually ask for a look at the lube manual or ask them to point out the lube points that they're going to work on. Say, "How many lube points does this model have?" They're usually happy to show you and answer your questions. People who work on cars love to talk shop (and most of them never suspect that "civilians" are secretly planning to do the work themselves next time). If you get a real talkative technician, you've found a gold mine; be sure to ask about the rest of the job, too. Lubricating the butt joints Lubing ball joints is really as simple as wiping the zerk fitting, fitting the grease gun onto it (use an adapter if you need one), and gently squeezing a little grease into the joint. The following takes you step-by-step through the procedure: 1. Find out how many lube points your car has and where they are. See the preceding section, "Finding the lube points," for help. 2. Wipe off the first zerk fitting and try to fit your gun to it. Does it fit? If not, you may need an adapter. Can you reach it? If not, you may need an extender. Dodge . There should be plenty of give when you squeeze the sides of the ball. If the joint looks too hard and full, squeeze some grease out if you have the kind of fitting that has a back door.
